Installing Minecraft Forge

In order to install Forge in Multicraft you will follow these steps:

1. Request your server be switched to an internal jar instead of our panel jars. This can be done either via a billing panel ticket or emailing us at

2. Stop the server then delete all files in your root directory. Please make a local backup of anything you want to keep before deleting any files.

3. You will need the Forge installer jar. Download the latest from here:

4. Run the installer jar using Java and choose the "Install Server" option to extract the server files to a new folder.

5. Using an external FTP client such as Filezilla, copy minecraft_server.x.x.x .jar and the corresponding Minecraft Forge universal .jar to your server's "root" and "jar" directories. Then copy the libraries folder from your local extraction to those same folders also.

6. Rename the universal.jar. in the "jar" directory to custom.jar, make sure you server is set to Mod: Custom in the main control panel view and start the server.

*Note: You will also need to install the Forge client on your own computer and any mods you wish to use.
